Senior Director of Power Marketing

Omay serves as Senior Director of Power Marketing at Gravity Renewables, Inc.  With a decade of experience in renewable energy development and a decade of experience at environmental advocacy and higher education institutions, Omay brings a unique perspective to Gravity Renewables’ community and institutional focused project development model. He serves on the renewable markets advisory panel for the Low Impact Hydropower Institute. Prior to joining Gravity Renewables, Omay was Director of Project Development at Alteris Renewables focusing on developing commercial scale solar projects for municipal, higher education and private school customers.  Earlier in his career he served as Deputy Director for People’s Power and Light, a green power marketing and advocacy group supporting community-scale wind, solar, small hydro and cow-power projects in New England.  Omay received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Skidmore College and a Masters in Business Administration from the Leeds School of Business at University of Colorado at Boulder.  He has been a Senior Fellow at the Environmental Leadership Program in Washington, DC since 2006.  He lives in Saratoga Springs, New York with his wife and family.
